Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 16, 2026

101 CEUs (“101 CEUs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides online continuing education courses for care professionals working in California Adult Residential Facilities (ARFs) and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through 101ceus.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account information — name, email address, and password when you create an account to take a course.
  • Payment information — when you purchase a course, your payment is processed by our third-party payment processors (Stripe and PayPal). We do not store your full card number or banking details on our servers.
  • Course activity — enrollment, lesson progress, quiz results, and certificates of completion, so we can track and issue your CEU credit.
  • Contact and inquiry information — name, email, phone number, facility name, and any message details you submit through our Contact or Group Enrollment forms.
  • Technical information — IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically through standard web server logs and cookies.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and course enrollment
  • Process payments and issue receipts
  • Track course progress and generate your certificate of completion
  • Respond to questions submitted through our Contact and Group Enrollment forms
  • Send you service-related communications, such as enrollment confirmations and certificate delivery
  • Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for interest-based advertising.

How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to operate the Site and deliver our courses:

  • Service providers — our website host, learning management system, email delivery service, and payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), each of whom is authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.
  • Your employer or facility — if you enroll through a group enrollment arranged by your employer, we may share enrollment and completion status with the facility administrator who arranged the enrollment.
  • Legal and safety reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of 101 CEUs, our users, or others.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your course progress, and understand how visitors use the Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect your ability to log in or complete courses.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS encryption, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain account and course completion records for as long as needed to support your continuing education history and to meet recordkeeping obligations related to CEU certification. You may request deletion of your account as described below, subject to any records we are required to retain.

Your Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to request access to, or deletion of, the personal information we hold about you, and to know what categories of information we collect and why. Because we do not sell personal information, there is no sale to opt out of. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.

Children’s Privacy

Our courses are intended for working adult care professionals. The Site is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
